Amirian Curse - April 2025 Save Path Guide
Hello Community!
Amirian Curse April Update introduces a custom saving path in your documents' folder.
This is yet a testing feature, since there might be people having issues running the game or saving/loading your progress.
Here's a save migration guide
This new version will attempt to save within your users' documents in this location:
Documents/My Games/AmirianCurseGame/save
To recover your earlier version saves:
1️⃣ Run Amirian Curse April Release, and check if the path defined above is created in your Documents folder
2️⃣ Start a new game and attempt to save as soon as you can play with Anne, then check if the save files are created in the folder path described above (global and save)
3️⃣ Did that work fine?, now Close the game, then copy-paste the old saves from older versions in the save path described above in your documents, override if you wish. Older versions saved games locally in AmirianCurseGame/www/save
4️⃣ Run the game again, and head to load game, select your save and watch the saved game update messages. There should be a message pointing to the new documents' path to save your games.
5️⃣ Now, you can continue your saved games, and wouldn't need to care again to copy-paste or move earlier versions' saved from this update onwards. Previous updates will still save/loading from the local game path.
There's yet a possibility this won't work, and you may need to check if the saved files are still stored in AmirianCurseGame/www/save, if so, the game wasn't able to create the folders (system permissions, special requirements or antivirus protection) so you would need to keep working with the original method, to import manually the older saves.
ℹ️ Some user reported a win32 error attempting to run the game, please let me know if there are other people having the issue, and check if you have some antivirus software running (maybe testing to disable for 10 minutes and running amirian again would help to determine if it is an antivirus caused error)
I hope this new update helps to keep the saves safe in a common location and you don't need to care anymore on next releases :D
Still. it is a good practice to keep the older saves backup just in case, if you want to keep your progress from earlier versions.

Hello, after I ported the save file to the latest version, the game would crash, show "typeerror : cannot convert undefined or null to object" and then have no response at all. But if I started over, there would be no problem. I don't want to discard my previous save file. What should I do

I will check in and look into the possible errors. There's still something you could do if you want to help me find them faster.
As you run the game, you may press F12 key and you will open a console aside to watch the response.
When it fires an error, specially black screen errors, it will throw a long red error response with lots of lines.
Could you copy-paste the error logs?
The console log will be a great tool to find any issue quickly 🙏
There are yet few new updates planned to catch those nasty bugs, many plugins are being upgraded in the new game to address any of these issues.
